The Triangulum Galaxy is a spiral galaxy approximately 3 million light-years from Earth in the constellation Triangulum. The Triangulum Galaxy is the third largest member of the Local Group of galaxies, which includes the Milky Way, the Andromeda Galaxy and about 30 other smaller galaxies.
With a large apparent angle (62' x 39' - about twice the full moon) it doesn't fit completely on the CCD.
Being at a relatively short distance... some star clusters and nebulae belonging to this galaxy are visible.
The surface brightness is a very low mag 14.5
