NGC 3227 is a spiral galaxy interacting with the dwarf elliptical galaxy NGC 3226 at a distance of about 75 million light years from Earth. Full frame showing the rays from Algieba (Gamma Leonis), a very bright Mag 2.3 star which is only 4' West (right). NGC 3222 is also visible towards Algieba.
